Yoga at MoveStudio

Build strength, flexibility, and mindfulness as you work through our yoga, stretching, and meditation classes.

ABOUT YOGA & MEDITATION

Regardless of age, experience, or fitness level, yoga can help improve health, flexibility, range of motion, balance, and general wellness.

And when paired with meditation and mindfulness, can help restore mental clarity, stress management, self-understanding, and overall well-being.

All of our yoga classes are based on the traditional Hatha Yoga technique and principles of alignment. Modifications and adaptations are provided, emphasizing the function of each asana (pose) over the form.

Classes include yoga postures (asanas) and exercises, breath, and energy work (pranayama), and meditation.

Mindful Yoga

While all yoga includes an invitation to practice mindfulness, this class provides a slower, more intentional focus on cultivating awareness as the primary practice.

We’ll combine present-moment awareness with yin, restorative, and gentle movement to bring your body and mind back into union.

Therapeutic Yoga

This class focuses on applying yoga to help alleviate health conditions and promote holistic well-being.

Therapeutic yoga considers an individual's overall health, physical, mental, and emotional condition, and can be modified where needed.

Gentle Yoga Flow

This gentle or “slow flow” Vinyasa practice consists of basic yoga postures, put together in a conscious, deliberate, and secure flow paired with breath work.

Poses are broken down using thorough instruction, alignment tips, substantial modifications, and the use of props like blocks, straps, and blankets.

Yoga and Ball Massage

Create awareness of long-held patterns of tension within the body and mind. This class is a fusion of self-massage ball work and gentle yoga for renewal and healing.

The myofascial release helps with ease of movement, range of motion breath work, and tension. Overall, this helps re-energize you and move you beyond tension to release and de-stress.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is an ancient Chinese yoga practice that gently stretches the connective tissue, rather than focusing on muscles. Through this practice, you help build healthier joints and reduce aches and pains.

We do not recommend vigorous exercises following this class as it is best done towards the end of the day to promote rest and relaxation.

Vinyasa Yoga Flow

Vinyasa Yoga focuses on the synchronizing of physical movement with your breath. This technique allows you to create a deeper absorption of awareness through a rhythmic moving meditation while practicing yoga. In a vinyasa practice, you can expect to stay in a constant flow of movements.

Prenatal Yoga

Our MoveStudio Mamas program is here to support expectant and new mothers! In Prenatal yoga, each exercise is carefully chosen by a certified professional and is safe for both mom and baby. Our Postpartum Strength & Recovery classes can be done with or without Baby.

You’ll learn movements that can help relieve common aches and pains associated with pregnancy, specialized breathing techniques used during labor, and how to clear the mind of stress during pregnancy.

Ideal for beginners or experienced students in their second or third trimester.
