Kelly Barazza
Yoga, Pilates
Kelly Barraza, originally from Ackerly, Texas (population 243), has called Dallas home since 2004. As an E-RYT 500 certified yoga instructor and Precision Nutrition Level 1 Nutrition Certified Coach, Kelly combines her passion for yoga and holistic health to empower others. With 13 years in the fitness industry, yoga, and Pilates and 23 years in Project Management, Kelly strives to build lasting relationships and help clients achieve their health goals through personalized, holistic services.
Cindy Capterton
Yoga, Thai and Ball Massage
Born and raised in Dallas, Cindy Caperton is passionate about anatomy and therapeutic practices. She completed her initial 200-hour yoga teacher in 2009, followed by a 500 YTT in yoga therapy in 2011. In 2023, Cindy completed a 4-week Therapeutic Thai Therapy course in Thailand. She delved into cadaver dissection in 2019 and continues her anatomical studies annually. Originally an interior designer, Cindy transitioned to yoga, finding her calling after experiencing transformative relief from severe back pain. She enjoys weightlifting, running, reading, and traveling.

Tida Chambers
Yoga
Tida Chambers, born in Taipei, Taiwan, and raised as a military brat, brings a rich tapestry of experiences to her yoga practice. Fluent in Mandarin and English, she spent formative years in Thailand and Germany, nurturing a love for skiing, hiking, and tennis. After discovering yoga in 1997, Tida transitioned from the mortgage industry to pursue her passion for mindfulness and well-being. A 500-hour EYRT certified instructor since 2003, Tida infuses her classes with compassion, kindness, and a profound mind/body connection. Her teachings empower students to cultivate health, happiness, and self-awareness, making each practice enlightening and inspiring.

Suzanne Dado
Yoga, Pilates, Pelvic Floor Health
A former dancer, Suzanne Dado holds a BA in Dance Teaching and Choreography from Columbia College Chicago. Having done yoga and Pilates since college, she earned her 600-hour Power Pilates Certification and 200-hour Yoga Teaching Certification. Sue recently became a prenatal and postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist and Certified Pelvic Floor Specialist. When she's not in the studio, she loves rollerblading, camping, coffee, and horror movies.

Magdelena Fusaro
Belly Dance
Magdelena is a seasoned belly dance performer, instructor, and costume designer with roots tracing back to the 1980s NYC dance scene. Raised amidst the cultural tapestry of San Francisco and Manhattan, her dance journey began with ballet, where she honed her skills in both the Cecchetti and Balanchine formats from a tender age. After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology, she delved into design, sewing, and historical costume research. While working as a full-time designer, Magdelena's passion for belly dance has led to over 20 trips to Egypt, where she studied with renowned instructors. As an instructor, she weaves her knowledge of Arabic language, culture, and music into her teachings while creating stunning costumes, clothing, corsets, and captivating Catrina and Mermaid Crowns.

Terry Gold
Yoga
Terry started his yoga practice in 1983 with George Purvis in Dallas. He teaches in the Iyengar tradition, having traveled to Pune, India, numerous times to study with the master himself, BKS Iyengar, Geeta and Prashant Iyengar, and Ramanand Patel. Terry trained with other notable Iyengar teachers, including Judith Lasater and Dean Lerner. He has been on the teaching faculty at Richland College since 1986 and MoveStudio since 2011. Terry holds an Expert Registered Yoga Teacher certificate with Yoga Alliance.

Tifany Henderson
Yoga
When Tiffany stepped into her first yoga class in 1997, she had no idea its impact would motivate her to begin teacher training the following year. Now a seasoned instructor with over 25 years of experience and half a dozen certifications, Tifany teaches a blend of Hatha Yoga styles to warm the heart, focus the mind, and strengthen the body. A certified Yoga Therapist, she offers modifications for each student’s body type, challenges, and level of expertise.

Jan Hoff
Nia
Born in Hawaii but raised in Wisconsin, Jan experienced her first Nia class in 2009 at MoveStudio. She immediately fell in love, earned her white belt certification, and started her teaching journey in 2010. Jan earned her Nia second-degree black belt in 2020 and is a licensed Nia Moving to Heal and 5 Stages instructor. She loves all things Star Wars and jewelry making and someday hopes to visit Nepal, the Galápagos Islands, and New Zealand.

Lara Lawson
Nia
Born in NYC but raised in Dallas, Lara took her first Nia class in 2013. She has degrees in art and interior design and enjoys attending theatre and dance performances, and concerts. For Lara, Nia is a movement practice that combines everything she loves: the creative expression of dance, the power and focus of martial arts, and the mindfulness of healing arts. Lara began teaching in 2015, eventually earning her Nia black belt.

Urshel Metcalf
Latin Cardio
Urshel is a dynamic individual with a diverse background, including 13 years as a United States Marine. While in the Marine Corps, he was involved in the Semper Fit initiative, working with Marines and their families to promote health and wellness. His certifications include Cooper Institute Master of Fitness, ACSM Personal Trainer, ACE Personal Trainer, and AAFA Group Exercise. For Urshel, teaching is a passion that combines his leadership, teaching, and motivation strengths. Beyond fitness, Urshel enjoys martial arts, golf, and fine dining experiences.

Elizabeth “Sa’diyya” Parr
Belly Dance
Elizabeth "Sa'diyya" Parr is an internationally recognized, multi-award-winning performer and instructor. She has over 25 years of experience as a performer, choreographer, and instructor, winning the 2011 Belly Dancer of the Universe competition. Her charismatic, energetic, and culturally authentic performances and engaging teaching style have made her a sought-after artist in the Belly Dance community. Sa'diyya's goal as an instructor is to create a joyful experience for all her students regardless of age, body type, or experience level.

Gaby Pusateri
Prenatal Yoga and Postpartum Recovery
Gaby, a Spanish and science educator, is the heart and soul of our MoveStudio Mamas program. She began her yoga journey seeking relief from backaches, eventually earning her 500-hour and prenatal yoga certifications. A mother of two with over 15 years of teaching experience, Gaby's passion for empowering women and families through yoga and mindfulness practices is evident in her role as a Certified Lamaze Childbirth Educator, birth coach, and parent educator with Baylor Hospital.

Theresa Quintans
Nia
Theresa has practiced Nia for over 24 years. A Nia Black Belt, her passion is to share the Joy of Movement with YOU. She is a certified ACE group fitness instructor and licensed BollyX instructor, and trained in Nia Freedance, Nia 52 Moves, and Nia Moving to Heal. Theresa’s art background compliments her Nia practice, and her Nia classes are charged with creativity and playfulness. Theresa is an art educator and shares her love of the arts and movement with young learners. Her interests include travel, piano, plants, needle crafts, live music, and dancing like no one is watching.

Phyllis Smith
Yoga
A graduate of Ithaca College in New York, Phyllis is the co-founder of Live Free Mindfully, originally launched with Tida Chambers in 2016 as Live Free Yoga to foster social-emotional well-being in youth. Phyllis holds a Yoga Alliance RYT-200 certification and RCYT-95 for children’s yoga. Her 35+ years in TV/Radio broadcast and corporate media, including roles at the Today Show and CBS radio, have equipped her with exceptional communication skills. Phyllis is dedicated to enriching lives through mind/body practices and education, positively impacting individuals, educators, and communities.

Crystal Stroessner
Yoga, Meditation
A Swiss-American born and raised in Europe, Crystal moved to the United States when she was 20. She began her yoga journey in the DFW area in 2005 and joined MoveStudio as a staff member in 2006, exploring a variety of classes like yoga, Pilates, and Nia. She earned her 300h RYT certification in 2012 and taught at MoveStudio until 2015, rejoining our faculty in our new space in 2024. Continuing her passion, Crystal practices daily Yoga & Meditation and teaches privately, focusing on Hatha yoga, Chakra healing, meditation, and Pranayama techniques.

Debbie Quinn, MBA
Director of Studio Operations
Debbie Quinn, a proud Texas native and former Kilgore Rangerette, brings her love for teamwork and dance to MoveStudio. She joined MoveStudio in 2018 to dance in Nia classes and quickly discovered the benefits of yoga for mental and physical well-being. Passionate about community and wellness, she cherishes her role in witnessing members thrive and improve their well-being, making every day at the studio fulfilling. With an MBA and decades of business experience, Debbie was made Director of Studio Operations in 2023. Now empty nesters, Debbie seamlessly manages Studio Operations while traveling the world and working remotely, ensuring everything runs smoothly from afar.

Sue Ellen Godlewski
Customer Service
Born in Upstate New York, Sue Ellen finished high school and college in Florida, eventually settling in Dallas. She practices yoga and Pilates and enjoys spending time with her mini Australian Shepherd Yogi, her husband Charlie, and friends and family. She loves the beach, with Cancun being her second home. With a background in banking and journalism, she is now enjoying her semi-retirement by supporting the MoveStudio community.

Melanie Teal
Customer Service
Melanie grew up in Chicago, Illinois. A former MoveStudio client, she joined our staff in 2023 after spending several years in Costa Rica. Melanie is a talented jewelry designer who loves yoga, cooking, mountains, and the beach. She has a green thumb, and since she joined us, our plants have been thriving, adding a touch of nature to our space!

Our MoveStudio Legacy

Robin Parker
Founding Owner, 2000-2012
Robin established MoveStudio in 2000 as a two-room studio offering group classes in yoga, Pilates, and dance, focusing on holistic wellness. Over the next twelve years, Robin expanded MoveStudio to include 5 studios, Pilates equipment instruction, and a boutique gift shop. In 2012, Robin sold MoveStudio to Jackie Smith, who was the manager of MoveStudio.

Jackie Smith
Owner 2012-2023
Jackie Smith took over from MoveStudio founder Robin Parker in 2012, continuing Robin's mission of providing a haven for strength, mindfulness, community, and empowerment. Along with her husband Chad, Jackie expanded MoveStudio's offerings during her tenure and introduced virtual classes during the Covid pandemic. Jackie passed the torch to Legacy Instructor Candace Bordelon in 2023 to focus on raising her 4 children.
