Jackie Smith
Owner/Director

jackies

Jackie received her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of North Texas in 2005. She went into social work and put her life on hold to help others, overextending herself as a busy case manager and supervisor at a foster care and adoption agency. She changed fields in 2008 in order to achieve a more balanced and healthy lifestyle.

Jackie was introduced to MoveStudio by taking bellydance classes as a fun weekly outing with her sisters. When she resettled in the area, it was her yoga practice that drew her back to MoveStudio. And later, an invitation to try a Nia class was the greatest blessing- Jackie branched out to discover a new way of connecting and moving joyfully.

After several years of serving as manager at MoveStudio, Jackie's devotion to the community led her to become owner and director.  Jackie and her husband, Chad, love being a part of such a vibrant and uplifting community.  They hope to help everyone feel welcome to become their personal best as they strengthen body, mind and spirit.

amy
Amy has had an active lifestyle her whole life. She was a competitive gymnast until high school, and then fell in love with long distance running.

Amy received her bachelor's degree in Philosophy in 2010 from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. She fell in love with the practice of yoga while she attending her liberal arts college, and her yoga practice centered her during the busy school year. Amy also took ballet classes while she was in school.

Amy moved to Dallas four years ago when her husband started working for Southwest Airlines Pilots Association. She wanted to stay active, and she found MoveStudio three years ago when she was working at the nearby bank- and hasn't stopped moving since! Her favorite classes are barre and yoga.

Kendra Boyd
Customer Care
Kendra moved to Dallas in 2007 after graduating from Abilene Christian University with an English degree. She still pretends to be a student, happily studying and writing on her favorite subjects, which stretch from health & wellness to psychology, theology and travel. With these in mind, she found her way into the healthy, intriguing MoveStudio.

She very much enjoys meeting people from around the world. Having been to Europe, South America and Asia, she is always thrilled to find links to these cultures here in Dallas. With the various dance, fitness and art forms available here in the city, particularly at MoveStudio, she is off to a good start in her local adventures. Her goal is not to be a phenomenal dancer, but to loosen up and keep moving!
