We all move in habitual ways. Feldenkrais helps us find movement options we forgot or never discovered before. The result can be greater ease of movement, efficiency and grace. People often turn to Feldenkrais following an injury or when they develop chronic pain or tension. But we can all benefit from this awareness training, whether dancer, yogi, athlete, senior, or simply someone curious about how their body moves in space. These Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement (ATM) classes involve the teacher guiding students through a series of focused movements as they lie on a mat, sit on a chair, or stand.
