We’re going to start this class with some self-tests to assess where your stress “is” for this season. Then, we’re going to discuss some ways to incorporate some simple things into your daily living to help keep a sense of balance and connection even as life’s adventures happen basically creating new rituals for yourself.

Essential Oils have different properties that can affect your physical body and your emotions. They can be used in conjunction with other mood management plans as an addition to enhancing the mood or calming down.

We’ll discuss some basics about how to safely use oils in your day to day routine.  We’ll leave some time for questions for those with inquiring minds.

Just like cooking; there are specific ways to use oils in different body and household products based on what outcome you’re striving to achieve. We’ll make three different products to take home and use!

We’ll make a body scrub for the shower, an eye makeup remover and a body cream. As we make our products we’ll discuss the basics about the power, impact, safety and effectiveness for essential oil usage.

We’ll be using grapeseed, olive, apricot and coconuts oils in these formulations. If you have any concerns, please feel free to email Jenny at info@livingwelldallas.com with questions.

POSTURAL ALIGNMENT WORKSHOP

valerieProper alignment of the whole body starts with the feet. If the feet are out of alignment everything will be out of alignment. Starting from the ground up we will learn how to anatomically align the body to establish correct posture for standing, walking, sitting and balancing.

Correct alignment helps:

  • allieviate back pain
  • relieve joint and muscle pain
  • relieve inflamed nerves
  • correct foot problems
Proper alignment creates more space and allows the breath to become fuller. With more space, the organs and neurological system begin to function properly.

Stop sliding down the slippery slope of misuse and begin the journey of change. When we use the body the way it’s designed to be used we start functioning better and feeling better.

The focus of this workshop is learning how to align the body to achieve optimal health.

When your skeleton supports you as it’s designed to do, you’ll discover fluid, dynamic posture.

Dynamic posture is the ability to move in any direction without hesitation or preparation. It’s based on the specific contact we find with surfaces. By attending to how you’re making contact with the surface which supports you, you’ll reduce muscular effort and improve movement ease.
