BODYJUGGLING ![]() with SaTek Saturday, October 25, 1-4p $45 by 10/10, $55 thereafter or at the door Join BodyJuggling creator SaTek for your introduction to this exciting new technique. BodyJuggling has been called "Zen in Motion" and is a full mind-body experience using a large fitness ball. You may bring your own ball or borrow one of ours. BodyJuggling builds the core, lateral stability, endurance, and stillness of mind. It combines the effortless and fluid movements of Tai Chi with the flexibility and strength training of yoga and the balance and dexterity of acrobatics. Somewhere between dance, meditation and fitness, this revolutionary practice provides a completely integrated mind-body system. In this introductory workshop, we'll use individual and group exercises to access the three main principles of BodyJuggling: Balance, Power and Flow. These principles will show us new ways to find the physical center of our being, discover the properties of effortless power and create harmony in every motion we make. The main focus of BodyJuggling is to learn how to move spontaneously and effortlessly within each and every moment. When we learn to move effortlessly with each moment, life itself becomes effortless. Register by 10/10 to receive your free copy of the BodyJuggling Level 1 Workout DVD ($20 value)! Get more information at the BodyJuggling website and view a short video introduction to the practice. About the Facilitator: SaTek grew up traveling and performing with the Ringling Bros. Circus, and has worked in the entertainment industry for over 25 years. After studying Shamanic, Buddhist, and Hindu traditions for many years, he began incorporating these themes into his work. He developed BodyJuggling as a motif for a performance piece about the evolution of consciousness called The Collective Neurosis. After training several people in the art form, he realized the profound potential for physical and mental benefits of the practice as an exercise routine. After almost two years of development, this practice is now being taught in yoga studios and fitness centers. For this workshop SaTek will be assisted by Kundalini teacher and Interfaith Minister Rev. Adriane Wolf. The fluidity and freedom of movement are factors that distinguish Aikido from other martial arts. Some describe Aikido as a moving meditation, and each movement becomes a purification of the spirit. Lynn teaches how to view life from a broader perspective through the principles of Aikido. "Aikido is the art of managing energy. The intent behind the philosophy of Aikido is not combative. It is about balance in life in spirit and body as opposed to a weapon, and that the mindset is the most powerful weapon of all. The principles of Aikido teach us how to 'go with the flow' of life. True strength, power and mental understanding are capable of existing without control. This is the art of harmonious energy." ~Lynn FabiaIn this 8-week series for men and women you'll learn and practice basic Aikido technique, philosophy and teachings you can integrate throughout your life.
